About R-Amtech

The mission of R-Amtech International Inc. is the identification, assessment, development, and marketing of emerging technologies that are transferred to business entities for rapid commercialization via licensing, joint venture, or sale.

R-Amtech has focused on technologies such as microelectronics, adhesive compositions, water purification, and fire-fighting technology. The company's involvement in technology transfer dates to 1991 when it was originally formed as INRES USA, Inc. In 1996 Nikolai Belikov founded and incorporated R-Amtech International along with its affiliate, Techno-TM, which is based in Moscow, Russia. In 2003 R-Amtech opened a subsidiary office in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Techno-TM utilizes its capabilities, contacts, and presence in Moscow to identify and obtain rights to potentially valuable technologies. R-Amtech assesses these technologies to ensure that they are innovative, cost-effective to bring to market, and supported by intellectual property rights. R-Amtech transfers the rights of such technologies through licensing agreements, joint venture agreements, and the outright sale of patents.

Most notable among R-Amtech's successful efforts was the licensing of the Tetris® computer game. Prior to the sale of intellectual property in 2005, Tetris® was licensed to more than 50 companies with more than 87 million units sold worldwide. Tetris® licensees included prominent game and telecommunications companies such as Nintendo of America, Sega, Microsoft, THQ, Hasbro, Sony, Ericcson, Kyocera, and Toshiba.
